Nicky Handlin is the Owner and Pilates Instructor for Mindful Movements.

She holds a B.S. degree in Kinesiology, and multiple certifications including a Mat and Reformer Pilates certification from The Pilates Coach in Reno, NV with Leslee Bender, and a 500 hour comprehensive Pilates certification from the Body Arts and Science Institute. After 10 years in the field working as a Personal Trainer, Physical Therapy Aid, Corporate Fitness Manager, and Pilates Instructor, Pilates became her core focus. Pilates has proved to be the most effective, healthy, and fun way to workout that Nicky has experienced for herself and clients over the years. In the last year, Nicky has experienced her first pregnancy and labor, which exaggerated her belief and love for Pilates. Through her first hand experiences and extensive education, Nicky is highly qualified to help you achieve a healthy and balanced body, while bringing you to the next level of fitness. She looks forward to working with each and every client at her new Mindful Movements Pilates Studio in Downtown Livermore.


Terri Meadows is an Associate Pilates Instructor for Mindful Movements.

Terri has been instructing Pilates students in the Livermore Valley since 2007. She received her training through Turning Point Studios in Walnut Creek, Ca. under the guidance of Nora St. John and Naomi Leiserson , where she completed an extensive Pilates Instructor Training Program and 500 comprehensive training hours. Terri has been a Pilates student and enthusiast for more than 10 years. Her passion for health and fitness over the years led her on a search to find balance between mind and body. As student of Pilates she was in awe of changes she was able to feel and see in herself. After receiving her first of 2 c-sections Terri's belief and passion for the Pilates Method was renewed. She feels Pilates is the best way stay healthy and decrease stress. Terri has had experience in training clients with a variety of needs and fitness levels. From athletes to those with disabilities and chronic conditions. She is dedicated to offering each student a beneficial and enjoyable experience to facilitate continued growth of mind and body. She looks forward to helping you achieve your personal best and feels honored to help you on your path to well being.
